FAQs

1. ) How do I become a consignor?
Stop into the store at any time during our regular business hours, and fill out a very short consignment contract.  Contracts can be filled out either prior to or at the time of drop off.

2.) How do we price each item?
Each item is carefully researched in an effort to insure they are priced fairly for all parties involved (consignor, store, and customer).  Our prices are determined according to current selling, not listing, prices.

3.) Are there any items that cannot be consigned?
Yes, please refer to the “Currently Not Accepting: page on our website or stop into the store for a current list.

4.) What are the terms of the consignment contract?
Our standard consignment contract is a 90 day contract.  40% goes to the consignor and 60% to the store.

5.) What happens at the end of the 90 day contract?
At the end of the 90 days, consignors can either retrieved any remaining items from the store or relinquish them to Q’tiques.  If a consignor decides to retrieve their items Q’tiques will provide an inventory list, but it is the consignor’s responsibility to pull their items from the sales floor.

6.) Do I need to decide if I want my items back when I sign the contract or can I wait until the end of the 90 days?
Consignors are welcome to wait until the end of their 90 day contact to decide if they want to take the remaining items home.

7.) How long do I have to retrieve any remaining items?
We ask that any items remain gin at the end of the 90 day contract are retrieved within 14 days of contract end.  After 14 days, all remaining items will become property of Q’tiques.

8.) What if I change my mind?
If at any time within the 90 day contract the consignor decides they do not want to consign any item/ items for any reason, the consignor is welcome to take any unsold item/ items home.  If the item/ items have already sold, the consignor will receive 40% of the selling price per the consignment contract.  If the contract has expired and the 14 day pick up period passed, the item/items must be purchased.

9.) When can I drop off items for consignment?
Boxes and smaller furniture items can be dropped off at any time during our regular business hours.  Large furniture items that require more than 1 person to move can be dropped off Wednesday – Sunday ONLY.  While not required, a phone call letting us know you’re coming, prior to arrival, would be greatly appreciated.

10.) How do I collect my payment?
The consignor must contact the store at the end of their 90 day contract.  We do prefer that the consignor come into the store to pick up their payment; however if the consignor has moved out of state a check  can be sent by mail.
